"Educated Filmmakers" 2023
"Educated Filmmakers" is an 8week crash course on filmmaking and the business of filmmaking, consisting of 16 workshops. Classes take place twice a week (Wed. 7pm-9pm, and Sat. 1pm-4pm). April 29th - June 28th.
In This educational series, students learn:
Film History, Theory, Lighting, Editing, Camera, Screen Play Writing, Story Boarding, Sound Design,the business of film making, and more..
This program culminates with a finished film short. Classes will be held at Open Mind Studios in Queens, NY.
Those interested in Online Classes may choose "Online" as an option below.
The finished short is screened at the A.P.T.'s annual
Black History Month Film Festival,
hosted by Museum of the Moving Image.
