"Educated Filmmakers" 2023
"Educated Filmmakers" is an 8week crash course on filmmaking and the business of filmmaking, consisting of 16 workshops. Classes take place twice a week (Wed. 7pm-9pm, and Sat. 1pm-4pm).
In This educational series, students learn:Â
Film History, Theory, Lighting, Editing, Camera, Screen Play Writing, Story Boarding, Sound Design,the business of film making, and more..
This program culminates with a  finished film short. Classes will be held at Open Mind Studios in  Queens, NY, from April 29th - June 28th. Those interested in Online Classes may Register on our Online Event Page.
The finished short is screened at the A.P.T.'s annual Black History Month Film Festival, hosted byÂ
Museum of the Moving Image.
